Gasing is one of the most popular games among children in Malaysia.There are various type of ‘gasing’ in Malaysia such as ‘Gasing Kelamar’, ‘Gasing Jantung’, Gasing Piring atau Leper’, ‘Gasing Telur’, ‘Gasing Beremang’, ‘Gasing Melayu’, ‘Gasing Cina’, ‘Gasing Buku Benang’ dan ‘Gasing Pinang’.Most of the children prefer to play with Malay and chinese styles because their size is small and easy to play.

HOW TO PLAY

GASING PANGKAH

-Gasing Pangkah played to knock on the opponent’s gash and played by two groups which are “Kumpulan Menanti” and “Kumpulan Memangkah”.

-Each group have two until five players.

– “Memangkah” group and “Menanti” gruop are determined based on “Uri” match made before the game starts.

-The “Memangkah” group will step up “gasing” of “Menanti” group for solving the opponent’s gash or until opposite side stops.

-If the “gasing” opposite side still swirling, “Jong Cokok” will be used to “mencokok gasing” to the surface of “Jong”.And if the “gasing” still swirling, the “Memangkah” group will turn to “Menanti” group and instead of.
